We spent Saturday night at a rented studio in Cole Valley near our apartment, and we roamed around on Sunday, running errands, seeing a few friends, and prepping to move 6 suitcases to our new home. Oh, and driving around in our beautiful new car! (Pictures to come)
A tour of our gorgeous apartment, courtesy of Adam Lewkowitz Photography...
Walking in the front door. I'm poking my head out of the bathroom, the kitchen is across the hall, the living room is the door next to the kitchen, and our bedroom is at the end of the hallway.
Beautiful cherry wood cabinets in the bathroom (please ignore my ridiculous faces from here on out...it was late, it was HUMID, and we were sweaty!)
Speaking of custom made:
It is clearly my favorite room in this apartment! Those beautiful cabinets, all of the drawers, 2 big windows...such a step up from our mini kitchen in New York!
The kitchen does rival this room for favorite though:
LAUNDRY ROOM! It's off of the kitchen, has a lot of shelf storage (to the right of the washing machine), and leads to a back staircase for garbage, etc. This is the first time since college that I have lived with a washer and dryer in my home, and I am proud to say that I am on load 5. I hope the novelty doesn't wear off because it feels positively glorious!
Entering the living room, with a working fireplace and built-in shelves on either side, bordered by a beautiful bay window (!!) and long loveseat.
You can see the detail of the Edwardian ceiling and beautiful wood floors. This wooden paneling goes along all 4 walls of the room.
Adam and I will not leave this apartment for a while; it's too perfectly located with great amenities. Thus, we told our mothers that one of these closets will eventually be a kiddie room. (Don't hold your breath!)
Finally, our bedroom, also with a massive bay window and lots of light!
And there you have it! Another tour with a decorated and lived-in home, will be forthcoming, once our stuff finally arrives from the other side of the country.
Last picture: first dinner in our new home after a long day of work, courtesy of Whole Food's prepared foods (plus a mini-salad).
